On 14 November, presentation and demonstration of the modernized supercomputer “Govorun” took place in the Laboratory of Information Technologies JINR. LIT staff members and employees of other JINR laboratories, Russian computing centres, specialists of the “Intel” and “RSC Technologies” companies gathered in the LIT computer room.

XXVII International Symposium "Nuclear Electronics & Computing" (NEC'2019), 30 September - 04 October 2019 - Montenegro, Budva

Participation of leading specialists in nuclear electronics and computing from Europe and the United States of America with reviews and topical lectures is planned. International school “Scientific computing, Big data analytics and machine learning technology for megascience projects”, 10-14 September 2018 – Dubna, Russia

The goal of the school is to attract young scientists, students and postgraduate students to solve IT-tasks and challenges related to various aspects of megaprojects in the field of high-energy physics and to familiarize participants with modern methods of Big data analytics, machine learning and high-performance computing systems and to use this knowledge to solve IT tasks in the field of high-energy physics The proposed lecture and teaching program of the School will allow participants to see all aspects of research related to Big data by the example of the NICA megaproject and experiments at the Large Hadron Collider as the main sources of big data in high-energy physics. Within the school it is planned to organize training courses on distributed systems for collecting, processing, managing and storing information; use of high-performance and high-speed computing systems (supercomputers, computer clusters) for processing and modeling data of physical experiments, including machine learning methods. The participants of the school will have the opportunity to listen to the plenary reports of the leading world scientists and experts in the field of GRID technologies and distributed computing presented at the GRID'2018 conference.
